Accessibility Statement for Roebeck Country Park.

We are an independent family owned and run park which is set within 14 acres of mature countryside with lakes, small stream and wooded area of both mature oaks and saplings.

The fields for touring/tenting are in the lower and upper north side of the park which are slightly sloping but with flat areas and is accessed from the entrance on a concrete road. The large pitches are accessed via a grassed area and are grass pitches, some with EHU and various water points. One car can be parked for each pitch and other cars/visitors will be directed to additional parking by the site warden. The pitches are unmarked giving ample room.

For the safety of all on site there is a strictly adhered to speed limit of no more than 5 miles per hour.

There are also various fire points which are clearly marked and visible.

The Pre-erected Tipis are past the north field on the concrete road and situated around the fishing lake which is fenced with a stile which is 2ft 6in high and 3ft wide to allow access for fishing etc., but also to protect young children gaining access to the lake.

Both fields have access to a washing up building situated at the top of the North Field, again accessed either by foot or motor vehicle. It is accessed via 1 step which is 6 inches high. There is a washing up sink, fridge, hot water supplied from combi gas boiler. There is a kettle and microwave for the use of the guests, these are to remain within the building at all times. There are numerous sockets to enable charging of phones/laptops/tablets etc., at the owners own risk.

The showers and toilets to both ladies and mens blocks are accessed by 3 steps which are each 6 inches high. Once inside the ladies or mens block it is completely flat. There is a disabled cubicle and also a baby changing mat.

There is a warden on site for advice, help and in emergencies. Hours will be available from reception as these may vary depending on the time of year.

Reception is clearly marked on site and someone will be available, please check the hours printed on the door as these times vary.

We do allow camp fires but these must be contained in either your own fire basket or one can be hired from us at a small charge, we also have our own wood supplies sourced from the maintenance of our wooded areas, a small fee applies. Please ask the warden/reception. These must be controlled by a responsible adult at all times and are the sole responsibility of the adult in supervision.

BBQs again can be hired but must be operated by a responsible adult at all times.

The management, staff will not be responsible for any accidents that may be caused by the misuse of the same.
